With a piece that has sentimental value, I always try to work that into the session because those pictures mean that much more. She knew she wanted a couple different options for dresses, so she came into the studio a couple weeks before our session and tried on dresses in my client closet and found a couple more she loved!

Another idea is including your children if this isn’t your first baby. In my experience, even if your older children aren’t too excited about the new baby’s arrival, they will be excited to have some quality time with mom and dad. You can love on your first babies and really soak in those cuddles before your family grows and your attention is split.
