How I Prep You for a Family Session | Syracuse Family Photographer
Whether you're inquiring about a family session or you're ready to book, I walk you through the whole process to make sure you're feeling confident in your experience every step of the way. Family session have so many components, that it's easy to get stressed about the planning. What will everyone wear? Where are we supposed to take these photos? Will my kids behave and smile for the camera? These are all questions I'm sure are going through your mind and I would love to ease your stress for you! Let me take on all of those burdens so all you have to do is relax with your loved ones and embrace the memories.
Here's how I can prep you for your session for your family photos
No Pressure phone call:
Once you've inquired about a family session, I'll give you a call and get to know you a little bit better. We'll talk about your family and how many kiddos you have; this will give me more insight into what you're family will need during the session. Are your kids shy to begin with? Are we at that bribing stage where I'll have to bring out all my tricks to get them to open up? Are your littles more emotional and will likely need some cuddles to feel more comfortable? All of these things will help me understand you and your family to ensure a successful session. We'll chat about what you're envisioning and the vibe you're trying to accomplish with these images and I can start to build the perfect session for you!
Booked?
Once you've booked your session, you'll start receiving all my prep guides to walk you through the process and little tricks to make the planning and actual session smoother. I have prep guides on my favorite Syracuse locations and sample images in those location.
This will give you a feel for what your images could look like. You'll also receive wardrobe prep guides that will will help build the wardrobe for the entire family. I have an amazing tool I use for my clients that will give you a short questionnaire to build a family wardrobe for you. It takes your personal taste into account and will ensure everything coordinates and goes well with each other without matching every piece. I'll also have tips and tricks to ensure your session goes smoothly with the kiddos. I don't want you to stress about whether or not your kids will behave or act appropriately for your session. My job as your Syracuse family photographer, is to play with your kids and get them to show me their genuine personality and smiles. You sit back and enjoy them, and I'll handle the rest!
Fill out your Questionnaire
After you've booked your session, I'll send over a questionnaire to get to know you're family better. I'll ask questions about what you guys love to do in your free time, the type of music you listen to, etc. This is your time to tell me about your awesome family! I want to know what makes you laugh, what's important to you, and what part of your personalities you want to highlight the most. This session is all about capturing the real you!
One Last Check in:
The day before your session, I'll check in one last time to go over any last minute details. I'll make sure we're on track for the location and time to meet, as well as any props I'm bringing for you guys. Any last minute wardrobe questions? Lay them on me! This is your chance to ask any of your questions so that when the session starts, you're feeling confident and relaxed!
Session Day!
Session day is here! By the time your session starts, you'll feel like an old pro at this photography thing. Alls theres left to do is sit back and enjoy your family! You've done all the planning and all the prep we've done will hopefully set you up for success and allow you enjoy this session. Let the kids run wild and trust that I've got your back, momma.
